Chavez's Family
Arrow_down2
Chavez met his wife Helena when he was 15 and married her when he was 21. His family was key in supporting his ventures to help farmworkers. They also cam along with him on his constant traveling especially while working for the CSO, where he would meet his future partner in the UFW, Dolores Huerta.

Stream of Consciousness

I think that I did okay, but for Cesar I should've included more of what drove him. Instead I went with the ideas I felt comfortable about the  ones that most people really know. At the same time it felt strange doing this activity for someone else, especially someone who might choose a different medium to express themselves.
Cesar Chavez

Chavez founded the United Farm Workers (UFW) with Dolores Huerta, which advocated for fair wages and the elimination of the exploitation of migrant workers which he suffered alongside his family as a teenager. He worked through boycotts and public speaking. Thus many farm owners came to hate him for his work, leading to the inspiration for this wanted poster.

The sun is shining
The fields are calling.
The whip is no more
Racism keeps store.
Work moves every year
But still there is fear.

I'm not really sure how to do this blogging thing. I'm still learning so for now I have posted all my entries here, but I'll come back and fix this as soon as possible.

A Speech

This is my speech for ASB VP this year, I feel that it is relevant because it reflects my desire to be a leader and work towards the happiness of others.

I'm not really sure what I was thinking, but I looked at a bunch of nature pictures so I think that reminded me of the tree I planted today at my aunt's house. And I drew the life stuff from there I guess. It's strange to see how my mind works. By the way it's sideways.
Roads
Arrow_down2
It’s a long road ahead
Twisting, turning, always moving
Sometimes in circles it goes
All around there are many roads,
Some run next to, others cross over
Some run under, others into,
But each heads off to its own place.
Some run into the sunset
Some run into the night,
Some are roads sit unfinished,
Some being built, others crumbling,
Which way to go, which way to go?
